Warm Winter Breakfasts


With the cold season setting in , it’s good to be mindful to eat a nutritious and warm breakfast in the morning . I always prepared gram flour pancakes or chilas as they are called in India . Today I added oats to these to make them more a delight to savory in the mornings and to keep you going throughout the day .

Ingredients

1/2 cup gram flour or besan 

1/2 cup oats flour 

1 tsp cumin seeds 

1 inch chopped ginger 

1/2 tsp turmeric powder 

1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilies 

1/2 chopped green chilies

Handful of coriander leaves 

Salt to taste 

Water 

Oil

To Prepare 

1. Mix the gram flour and oats flour together 

2. Add all the other ingredients except the oil and water 

3.Mix well and then add water and keep   whisking . 

4.Heat oil in a skillet or tawa and pour the batter to make thin pancakes . 

4. When one side turns golden brown , flip and cook the other side . 

5. Serve hot with mint chutney . 

To prepare this for kids , omit the chilies
