The beautiful weather here in Dubai has to have wonderful aromas coming through your kitchen and I thought it called for delicious home made granola which will pack some nutrients too!
Try this wonderful , very tasty and simple recipe of granola to a healthy start to your day .
Granola on the way...
1 cup rolled oats -organic
1/2 cup hazelnuts
1/2 cup pecan nuts
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup Sultanas
1/2 cup coconut powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Options : pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cranberries , banana chips
For the syrup
50g dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1. Combine all the dry ingredients in a baking tray . You may line it with baking paper or smear it with butter .
Heat the oven at 180 degrees and put the tray for 10 minutes.
2. To prepare the syrup , heat butter and add the sugar and honey and let them mix together nicely . When it becomes a syrup form , add vanilla extract .
3. Add the syrup to the tray , mix well and put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Enjoy the aroma in your kitchen !
