Thepla is from the western region of India - Gujrat where this flatbread is very popular. It’s uniquely spiced infused bread that can be savored at anytime of the day usually with a raw mango chutney but it can be accompanied with any  other sweet chutney too or delicious white butter . I have come to enjoy a few dishes that are borne out of Gujrat region and the Farsan or snacks are my all time favourite . Eggless Oats and Jaggery Cake

Use the same ingredients minus the eggs and prepare in the same way. For an eggless option , replace the eggs with : 1 egg=1 tblsp of ground flax seeds in 3 tblsp of water . Or 1 egg =1/2 a mashed banana . This would give a banana taste in the cake . Enjoy .

Warm Winter Breakfasts

With the cold season setting in , it’s good to be mindful to eat a nutritious and warm breakfast in the morning . I always prepared gram flour pancakes or chilas as they are called in India . Today I added oats to these to make them more a delight to savory in the mornings and to keep you going throughout the day .
